Black Lives Matter march in Cary, NC on June 6th, 2020.
Downtown Cary, NC saw a large and diverse turnout for a Black Lives Matter gathering and march through the streets. In an event that appeared to be organized and run by young students, we heard passionate speeches, saw emotional sentiment on a wide variety of hand-made signs, and felt the optimistic energy of real change.
Taking pictures of group events is difficult. The size and the feel of it often cannot be captured visually. I have tried to capture the spirit and the individual emotions that characterized this event.
